The second-generation Chevrolet Bel Air, widely known as the "Hot One," stands as one of the most iconic American designs of the mid-1950s. For 1957, the V8's displacement grew to 283 cubic inches, and its output reached 283 horsepower—equal to the Corvette of that same period.
